Where this project came from

In 2023, we noticed a familiar pattern in workplace conversations across the South West: people shared long lists of “energy hacks”, yet very little context came with them. Our response was to build a slower, clearer reference with explicit limits and plain wording.

Milestones

Early phase

Started as a private writing group collecting practical observations about sleep regularity and meal spacing.

Second phase

Added editor review to remove overconfident statements and keep a neutral information tone.

Current phase

Public website with traceable updates and policy pages aligned with UK data expectations.

What readers asked us to improve

People wanted shorter pages, fewer sweeping claims, and clearer signposting for uncertainty. We took that feedback seriously.

How copy is reviewed

Each draft is checked by an editor who removes coercive language and rewrites complex phrases in plain UK English.

How decisions are made

Each text passes two checks: readability for non-specialists and removal of manipulative language.

What we avoid

  • No fear-based prompts.
  • No medical claims.
  • No pressure-driven copy.

Local relevance

Our examples reflect UK seasonal changes, commuting constraints, and common weekly schedules. They are not a one-size-fits-all plan.
